Perfect Venue- CV Rich Mansion in White Plains New York

Our professional wedding photos came in the mail and I am ecstatic. With a few of them I was able to create our thank you cards and finally send them out.
Looking through the photos I am so happy how everything came out even though it was crazy planning it all.

Some things I learned along the way...
1. Do your research, on everything.
2. Look for alternatives- cheaper can sometimes be better
3. Enjoy the ride.

I tried to take moments throughout the planning to enjoy it all because every moment goes by so fast and sometimes the aggravation isn't even worth it in the end.

Always research everything! In doing so I found cheaper flowers, wedding arches and even table centerpieces.

I will start with my wedding venue. We got married at CV Rich Mansion in White Plains, NY and we found it by chance.

CV Rich Mansion at White Plains, NY

We originally made an appointment to see another place not too far away from CV mansion. It was very pretty but ultimately we decided against it since the area where we will have our ceremony was too close to the main road (too noisy). We had the day to kill afterwards and I googled searched nearby wedding venues and found our future venue only a few minutes drive away.
When we pulled up I used theknot.com to secure a last minute appointment for that same day and got one immediately. When we saw the place we thought it would be out of our price range since it was gorgeous. Joann greeted us and gave us a tour and showed us the packages and found they were offering so much more (wedding cake, full bar, wonderful cocktail hour) for a little less per person than other places nearby.

To top it off the place looked vintage with beautiful gardens in the back to have our ceremony. This place had a huge yard for the ceremony and ballroom for the reception.

We fell in love with the look and architecture right away and once we secured the place everything fell into place.
Inside the mansion had numerous rooms for people to walk around for cocktail hour and photo ops. It had to garden porches with access to outside where the bar was set up and tables as well. Waiters walked around serving food and champagne during this time while the hubby and I took pictures before the reception.

They do many types of parties and such here. And now my husband and I are discussing having future anniversary parties, and maybe a baby shower there.
I will post next time about decor and music and such...

With love,
Shari
